March 15, 2018 Recap of our Beyond1435 Nexus 3
Last week Beyond1435 held its third Nexus in the brand-new FactoryBerlin at Görlitzer Park. 25 promising startups from all around the world were invited to pitch their ideas, discuss use cases and share their visions with our corporate partners ALBA, Bombardier, Deutsche Bahn, SBB, TUI and our event host Siemens. For three days, we all wanted to talk about one thing: Big Data.
On the first Nexus Day, the focus was on current Joint Business Developments (JBDs) between startups and corporates, which got initiated in the previous Nexus. This is why our whole day was filled with energizing workshops, analyzing the progress of our projects with AVA and Artisense and discussing further steps to align our collective assets.
Day #2 was meant to lay the foundation for new pilots and JBDs with our new batch of startups. Having started with a startup pitch marathon in the morning, our partners faced an intense but very enlightening day, outlining possible pilot projects in one-on-one sessions with selected startups.
During our public BigDataMeetup on Tuesday evening all of our guests were invited to listen to great startup pitches and a fabulous keynote by Thomas Wolf, COO of HaCon, who illuminated on how Big Data plays a major role in a so-called ‘30-year-old startup’.
We would like to thank all of our more than 150 guests who joined us for this splendid event, hoping that your evening was full of great conversations, interesting new people and some delicious pizzas and beers.
On the final day of Nexus 3 we kicked it off with our tech-workshop and a mind-opening talk by IBM Watson. Together with the founders of another four startups our partners got once more in discussions about Big Data and different areas of use, leaving Nexus 3 with a pipeline full of promising ideas and projects.
Altogether we are very happy that Nexus 3 was such a big success, uniting people and giving food for thought to great ideas for further projects with our platform-partners and various startups.
